Figurella ® carnitine capsules contain 480 mg carnitine per capsule. Carnitine is made in the body from the amino acids lysine and methionine. It is primarily ingested through the consumption of animal products (e.g. red muscle meat). In the context of a vegetarian or vegan diet, the need for carnitine cannot be sufficiently covered by the body's own production. On average, vegetarians take in 15-25% and vegans only 3-5% of the recommended amount of carnitine. With Figurella ® carnitine capsules, such an undersupply can be specifically counteracted.
