High dose green tea extract

At Vitamintrend we always provide you with high-quality and high-dose food supplements. This also applies to our green tea extract. Each capsule contains 750mg of green tea extract standardized to contain 98% polyphenols, 80% catechins and 50% EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate). This corresponds to 735mg polyphenols, 600mg catechins and 375mg EGCG per capsule. We recommend taking 2 capsules daily.

The special thing about our green tea extract is that, at 0.4%, it contains much less caffeine than other green tea extracts. This corresponds to 3mg of caffeine per capsule. The average caffeine content of green tea is otherwise 4-8%.

For this reason, this dietary supplement is particularly suitable for people who want to avoid excessive caffeine consumption.

Camellia sinensis

The botanical name "Camellia sinensis" is the generic term for different types of tea as they come from the same plant: green tea, oolong, Pu-erh, white tea, yellow tea and black tea. The difference between the individual types of tea lies in the manufacturing process.

Unlike black tea, green tea is not fermented and due to the gentle processing, almost all natural ingredients are preserved.

Green tea ingredients

The most well-known ingredient in green tea is probably the amino acid L-theanine. It makes up 60-70% of the amino acids it contains.

It also contains polyphenols, catechins (including EGCG, epigallocatechin gallate), bitter substances, tannins, flavanols, anthocyanins, saponins, other amino acids, essential oils, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and chlorophyll.
