L-arginine , often simply abbreviated to arginine, is a semi-essential proteinogenic amino acid. This means that the amino acid can not only be absorbed through food, but can also be produced by our body from other amino acids and vitamins.
The problem here, however, is that the body has an increased need for arginine in certain situations, such as during intensive exercise or increased stress . In order to prevent an arginine deficiency and its consequences, a targeted dietary supplement with arginine capsules is recommended .
Since L-arginine contains more nitrogen (N) than any other amino acid and is the only amino acid that can form the molecule nitric oxide (NO), it is vitally important for controlling blood vessels. It is precisely the vascular activating properties and the importance of arginine for building the body's own proteins that make arginine base very interesting for active men and women or as a training booster when doing sports.
