Overview

Hyaluronic acid is a so-called glycosaminoglycan, a natural, biological macromolecule. It is mainly because of its ability to bind relatively large amounts of water (up to six litres of water per gram) that hyaluronic acid has become well known - and popular. It is therefore often used in cosmetic products, but also to supplement food. Vitamin C contributes towards normal production of collagen, and therefore the normal, healthy function of bones, cartilage and skin.
