Product information "Organic Ashwagandha"
The exotic-looking name Ashwagandha comes from the Sanskrit language. In Ayurvedic teachings, the sleeping berry - as it is called locally - has played a central role since time immemorial. The bush of the dormant berry blooms with dense leaves, the berry itself is similar in stature and appearance to the more commonly known physalis fruit. No wonder, then, that it did not become famous in recipes and as a food. But little by little, the sleeping berry is also conquering areas outside of Asia or Africa, where it originally came from, as a superfood. Nevertheless, it is still considered a little-known insider tip, while it is said to have appealing properties.
When processing Ashwagandha powder or Ashwagandha extract, the roots and leaves of the plant are mainly used, but the whole dried berries can also be chewed and eaten.
